Las Candidatas

Two OB-GYNs, grandfather and granddaughter, run a fertility clinic in Bogotá. As they conduct the final consultations to select the surrogate mothers who will gestate babies destined for foreign clients, mostly homosexuals, the candidates’ motivations, the problems associated with surrogacy, and the marked differences between the granddaughter and the grandfather, separated by half a century of age and medical practice, are revealed.
